Macro Pictures

My favorite picture is the picture of teh iguana. I really liked this picture to begin with but after i altered it in photoshop it became my favorite. In photoshop i altered the saturation and made a purple tint over the whole picture. Thats all i really did in photoshop but i think it changed the picture alot.

Montage 2

I created this photo montage by using stock photos and photshop. All photos including the "KEEP OUT" sign, the blue string, and the backround, were seperate images. I wanted to make my photo mostly black and white but add something of color for an interesting focal point. I started off by finding a backround i was interested in. I then utalized the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the "KEEP OUT" sign and the blue string. I defined the edges of the "KEEP OUT" sign to make the photo have more dimension and focus on that being my focal point. I next added the blue string to keep the viewers eyes on the photos focal point and to also add the color i wanted to include. I think my photo gives off a theme of somewhat a deserted world. This photo sets that impression being in black and white and having no sort of action included at all. Also the "KEEP OUT" sign adds to the theme of deserted. Do you think it was a good idea to add a little bit of color into my photo or would i of been better off leaving everything black and white?

Montage

I created this photo montage by also using stock photos and photshop. Again all photos including the tree stump, the little girl, and the backround were seperate images. I wanted to make this photo all black and white. I found a black and white backround from the site i got my backround for my other montage from. I then utalized the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the tree stump and the little girl. I added the tree stump and the little girl keeping in mind the rule of thirds. I didnt want to put anything in the middle of the photo because i didnt want that to be my focal point. When creating this phote i wanted the little girl to be the focal point. To make this noticable i enlarged the size of the little girl and placed her closest to the viewers eyes. I also altered the lighting and shadows. I wanted to make sure that both the stump and the little girl gave off the same shadow and showed the same source of light. I used paint to create both of my shadows instead of the shadow tool. I think my photo gives off a theme of a lonely child. This photo sets that impression by being black and white and having the dark clouds in the sky. I also tried to show the girl pointing at the dark sky and having no sort of reaction. In different words I think the dual ground and plain colors show the lonilyness of the child. Do you think black and white was a good choice for this montage? Which one of my montages do you believe are more successful?
